friendlyatheist: ageofreason: Christopher Hitchens - Why Christianity is False One of my favorite Hitchens arguments. -FA First of all: This is a fucking amazingly made clip Second of all: The oldest human remains have recently been found and carbon dated to over 400,000 years old. Which strengthens Hitchens argument by an additional 300,000 years.

If their father beat them, don't repeat them.
“If you’re ever with a woman who reveals to you their deepest darkest secrets, leave them, and don’t look back.” There was a self-help guru that toured the country. His message was a broad stroke of misogyny under the guise of male self-improvement. Paulsson demanded obedience from his clients. “If your woman tells you that she’s been beaten, you don’t...

This means two things: 1. I’ve put over $100,000 on my credit card since the last time that I redeemed points. 2. I can get a $1,000 gift card to Bloomingdale’s. This would be a splendid gift to myself when I lose a good 20 lbs, seeing as how I haven’t bought new clothes for myself, outside of a nice pair of jeans, in a couple of years now.

All about Ricky Gervais... obviously: Week one... →
rickygervais: That’s a good thing. Anything that makes people check and reassess the way they live their lives, and affect others, can only be healthy.  I’m disappointed that many Christians took it personalIy though. I thought I could not have been clearer. I do not believe in ANY god. The only reason I mentioned the Christian God was because that was the one I was brought up to believe....

A Holiday Message from Ricky Gervais: Why I’m An...
fuckyeahrickystevekarl: Why don’t you believe in God? I get that question all the time. I always try to give a sensitive, reasoned answer. This is usually awkward, time consuming and pointless. People who believe in God don’t need proof of his existence, and they certainly don’t want evidence to the contrary. They are happy with their belief. They even say things like “it’s true to me” and...

Thought of the day XLIV
It’d be neat if people wore clothing that was self-descriptive. For example, skinny people could wear skinny jeans, short people could wear shorts, and fat people could wear fatigues.
